One doctor, flying solo in a small single engine plane is a serious challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the struggles that young patients and their families face at The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) every day.

Inspired by these courageous patients, Associate Professor Andrew Kornberg, Senior Neurologist at the RCH, will embark on a fundraising adventure like no other. Andrew initially completed this epic challenge in 2017, flying for 25 days and covering 16,000 kilometers.

In July 2025, he will take to the skies once again for one very important reason – to help raise $4.5 million, in partnership with the Live Life Foundation to help bring advanced therapies and even a cure to children with rare and complex conditions at the RCH. This new, innovative model of care will dramatically improve outcomes for children across Australia and pave the way for future generations.
